UPDATE: McCain has rejected Hagee, who has withdrawn his endorsement. I guess Huffington Post, MSNBC and CNN were enough. Now here’s a thought: LET’S KEEP RELIGION OUT OF ELECTORAL POLITICS ALTOGETHER, OK???

First, here’s how the papers of record are playing John Hagee’s Hitler-was-God’s-Agent-Driving-the-Jews-to-Israel sermon today –

New York Times: chirpchirpchirpchirpchirpchirpchirpchirp…

Washington Post: Howard Kurtz buried this way way way at the end of his 2,267 word article today:

Speaking of McCain, who sought the endorsement of the Rev. John Hagee, how much longer can he stand by a pastor who, the Huffington Post reports, said Hitler was a “hunter” sent by God to have Jews reestablish the state of Israel? There’s audio. Will the media give him the Jeremiah Wright treatment?

Not exactly the “Jeremiah Wright treatment” there, Howie.

So John McCain has thus far neither denounced nor rejected.

For reference, here’s the video:

I am sure we will be inundated for 3 weeks straight by this story like we were with Wright (psych!). The owned media twerps have to prop up their Bernie (as in Weekend at) or they get spanked by the military/industrial/corprocratic establishment. Free press? HAHA
